About the band
Baker & West is a dynamic singer songwriter duo.
Formed on Orcas Island in the Pacific Northwest.
Stephen Baker & Madison West grew up on the same small island, but they never met until Covid brought them back home from their respective lives in Boston. They are both graduates of Berklee College of Music.
After meeting up and turning lots of their songs into duets, they became fast friends and music partners. They began playing music at local venues during the summer, and writing songs together during the quiet months of winter.
Inspired by artists like The Civil Wars, Ingrid Michaelson, Chris Stapleton, and The Beatles, you’ll hear a mix of styles at your typical Baker & West show. Stephen’s storytelling lyrics and incredible vocal range, paired with Madison’s intricate melodies and calming voice, make them the perfect duo. Their voices blend together in songs with captivating lyrics and engaging instrumentation.
Baker & West is currently working on their first album, and playing many, many gigs both on the island and off.
